Puja Vidhi (Ritual Procedure)
The ritual begins with Swastivachan and Shantipath, followed by Sankalp (intent declaration), Ganesh-Gauri Puja, Kalash Sthapana, and the worship of Varun and other deities. Further steps include Shodash Matrika Puja, Saptaghrita Matrika Puja, Ayushya Mantra chanting, Navagraha Mandal Puja, and invocation of Adhidevatas and Pratyadhidevatas. Worship is then offered to Panchalokpal, Dasha Dikpal, and Vastu Purush for complete spiritual balance. Protection rituals (Raksha Vidhan) are performed, followed by Vedi construction and Panchabhoota Sanskar (cleansing processes like Parisamuhan, Uplepan, Uddharan, and Abhyuksan).
The sacred fire (Agni Sthapana) is then established with Brahma Aavaran and Kush Kandika. In the Havan, offerings are made for each of the four Vedas—Yajurveda, Rigveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda—while reciting respective mantras. After the Havan, Dev Puja and the formal Vedarambh take place, where the child is initiated into Vedic learning. Symbolic rituals like Kashi Prasthan (spiritual journey) are conducted, and the child is instructed in discipline and conduct. The ritual concludes with Tryayush Karan (longevity invocation), Agni Visarjan (sacred fire dismissal), and Vishnu Smaran (remembrance of Lord Vishnu).
