Puja Rituals Schedule

The Chaitra Navratri Puja spans over nine days, each dedicated to a specific form of Goddess Durga, followed by a Homa (Yagna) on the ninth day.

Navratri Puja Schedule

Day 1 – Pratipada Tithi

  • Worship of Devi Shailputri, the daughter of the Himalayas. Includes mantra chanting and a small puja.

Day 2 – Dwitiya & Tritiya Tithi

  • Mantra chanting and puja for Devi Brahmacharini & Devi Chandraghanta, bestowing peace, prosperity, and courage.

Day 3 – Chaturthi Tithi

  • Worship of Devi Kushmanda, the creator of the universe, with mantra chanting and a small puja.

Day 4 – Panchami Tithi

  • Puja and mantra chanting for Devi Skandamata, the mother of Lord Skanda (Kartikeya), who grants wisdom and knowledge.

Day 5 – Shashti Tithi

  • Worship of Devi Katyayani, the warrior goddess, for victory and protection.

Day 6 – Saptami Tithi

  • Mantra chanting and puja for Devi Kalaratri, the destroyer of evil forces.

Day 7 – Ashtami Tithi

  • Worship of Devi Mahagauri, the goddess of purity and wisdom, followed by Durga Ashtami celebrations.

Day 8 – Navami Tithi

  • Ram Navami & Siddhidatri Puja, bestowing divine siddhis and fulfillment of wishes.

Day 9 – Dashami Tithi

  • Grand Homa (Yagna) for all forms of Goddess Durga, including offerings, Swasti Vachan, Shanti Path, Ganesh Sthapana, Kalash Sthapana, Durga Sthapana, Brahma Sthapana, Agni Sthapana, Navagraha Sthapana, and mantra chanting. The rituals conclude with Purnahuti, Aarti, and distribution of Prasad to Brahmins.
