Seemantonnayan Sanskar 

In this ritual, the husband applies the sindoor to the parting, which is said to have a direct effect on the progeny. Therefore, Seemantonnayan Sanskar holds great importance. According to Vyas Smriti, this ritual should ideally be performed by Vedic scholars in the sixth or eighth month of pregnancy.
